On Sunday, August 15th, 2010 at approximately 6:30 p.m. , the Greater Sudbury Police were called to an address on Hawthorne Drive, where a home invasion had just occurred. 

An occupant of the home had just returned to his residence, when two male suspects rushed in behind the male victim and accosted him.  The victim was sprayed with an unknown substance and subsequently had personal possessions stolen.

The suspects then fled from the home leaving the driveway on bicycles.  Police followed the suspects to the area of Stonegate Drive and Beatrice Crescent, where they left their bicycles and continued to flee on foot.
