The Elliot Lake OPP is seeking the assistance of the public in solving a suspicious fire.
On February 7th, 2010 at approximately 12:47 a.m. police were called to a residence on Pearson Drive where the Elliot Lake Fire Department had extinguished a vehicle fire.
Police noted a melted plastic gas can beside the rear left tire of a blue 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Damage to the truck included burn marks, melted rubber to the rear left tire, burnt paint to the rear left quarter panel and a melted rear left mudguard.
Police and fire investigation has revealed that the pick up truck in the yard had been deliberately set on fire.
