
Christopher Smith and Angele Bertrand were arrested without incident on April 14th, 2010.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in locating Christopher Smith (21 years) and Angele Bertrand (20 years).

In February 2010, Christopher Smith was charged with numerous offences following the death of his 3-month old son Brice Smith. On April 9th, 2010, Smith was released on a Recognizance of Bail that included a number of conditions, of which to not communicate with Angele Bertrand and to follow an established curfew.
On April 12th, 2010, the police service received information that Smith was not abiding by his conditions and when officers attended the residence he was to reside at, he was not located. There was also evidence that when he left that address, he was accompanied by Angele Bertrand.
A warrant for Smith has been granted and his is wanted for 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance. A warrant for Bertrand has also been issued - she is wanted for Party to the Offence of Breach of Recognizance, as she had been made aware of conditions of the Recognizance prior to Smith's release.
It is imortant to note that anyone assisting or harbouring Smith in his attempt to evade police may also be criminally responsible for their actions.
