- Include domestic violence issues in workplace health & safety
- Educate all employees on company policy and appropriate actions to be taken as well as signs of domestic violence and resources for victims
- If an employee reveals domestic violence, develop a safety plan to ensure they are protected while at work
- Provide information about company and/or community resources
- Suggest the employee have the workplace included on restraining orders
- With the victim’s permission provide the abuser’s picture to security staff
- Consider temporarily relocating the employee within the workplace and allow for a flexible work schedule to make their day less predictable
