The Greater Sudbury Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in solving a robbery.
Shortly after Noon on Sunday, March 20th, 2011 police were called to a robbery that had just occurred on Lorne Street near Oak Street. An elderly woman in her 70's was accosted near the Independent Grocery Store by the suspect who grabbed her purse and then threw her to the ground. The suspect fled on foot.
Police searched the area and conducted a canine track but were not able to locate the suspect.
The victim received an injury to her head and was rushed to the hospital. Her injuries are non life threatening.
Suspect Sex: Male Age: 20 to 25 years of age Height: 5'10" Clothing: Dark pants, white and black jacket.
