The Sudbury Road Safety Committee in collaboration with the Greater Sudbury Police Services and the Ontario Provincial Police wish to remind drivers about the need to slow down and pull to the left when emergency vehicles are on the side of the road.
Members of the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services as well as local towing companies ask the public to take their safety into consideration when passing a stopped emergency vehicle with activated red lights.
This appeal for drivers to obey this law and "move to the left" is made in the hopes of helping to ensure the safety of those who put their lives at risk every day while responding to emergency situations.
If you have any information about any serious crime, please call Crime Stoppers. If your tip leads to an arrest or recovery of property or narcotics
you may be eligible for a cash reward. You will never have to give your name or testify in court and Crime Stoppers doesn’t have call display or call trace. Call Crime Stoppers locally at
