The Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in solving a fatal hit and run.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. on September 16th, 2006 the Wikwemikong Tribal Police received a report of a pedestrian hit and run on Kaboni Road in the area of Odawa Valley Road.
A male person was found on the roadway suffering from serious injuries and was immediately transported by ambulance to the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The victim was identified as Anthony (Antz) Mandamin, age 25, of Wikwemikong.

The Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
Members of Anthony's family are appealing to the public to tell what they know about the hit and run and help solve the mystery of what happened to him.
On Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service launched a community campaign involving a billboard and distribution of posters to assist in obtaining information to solve this case.
