Make a donation to Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers

We all have the right to live and attend school in a safe and crime-free community and we all have the responsibility to report suspected or known criminal activity.

Crime Stoppers wants to partner with students throughout the Sudbury Rainbow area to provide them with a safe and anonymous method of reporting crime that has occurred or is about to occur on school property without fear of retaliation:

  • allowing students to take charge of their own environment
  • creating a safe and violence/drug-free environment within the school system

HOW DOES IT WORK?

If you are a student, parent, teacher or school staff member you can call Crime Stoppers with information in and around your school. You will not be asked to identify yourself.

WHAT SORT OF CRIMES SHOULD I CALL ABOUT?

We are interested in any crime occurring in or around your school. Drugs, drinking, graffiti, vandalism, burglary, weapons, gang activity, threats of violence and bullying are all crimes that affect your safety and ability to learn.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CALL?

When you call, the information is given to a police officer to be used as part of an investigation. Nobody is ever arrested based on information from a tip alone.

If a crime is solved, a criminal is arrested, a weapon is confiscated or property or drugs are recovered because of your tip, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.

HOW DO I COLLECT MY REWARD?

Every person who calls Crime Stoppers with a tip is given a code number. If your tip qualifies for a reward, you would call back, give your code number and be told how to collect your reward anonymously.

Do you know of a crime and would like to help but wish to remain anonymous? Call Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS (675-8477) or 1-800-222-TIPS, click here to submit a secure, on line tip or text TIP267 and your message to CRIMES(274637).

You will remain anonymous, you do not appear in court and you
may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
